Tooth Whitening - Tooth bleaching
The majority of changes in color (discoloration) of the teeth are an aesthetic problem that is now possible to change with simple whitening operations at home or even, for the most difficult stains such as those with intake of drugs (tetracycline), in a professional clinic. The pigments that can change the color of the teeth, are divided into internal and external to the structure.
The external ones can be removed mechanically with professional techniques, using chemical methods to the structural or congenital ones (stains from tetracycline type drugs, etc…) or other kind of stains (tannin wine, food coloring, etc…) There are methods of home bleaching with nocturnal masks, but today you can choose a whitening in a single session in the clinic.
This method uses substances highly nontoxic and safe for the tooth, triggered by a cold light lamp: it saves time with extremely accurate results. This method only affects the tooth enamel and not on porcelain crowns or composite restorations, that will remain of the same color, while the dead teeth can be treated either externally by the same method of vital teeth, or from the inside within the channel.
